Amanda Brown is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with more than 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping clients strengthen relationships, better understand themselves, and build healthier patterns for lasting emotional well-being. Amanda is currently enrolled in seminary pursuing a Master of Divinity degree and she offers faith-integrated counseling for clients who desire a Pastoral Christian counseling approach as part of their therapeutic process.
Her approach incorporates biblical literacy, trauma-informed care, identity and healing work rooted in Christ, and integration of prayer and Scripture when welcomed by the client. She also integrates the Living Set Free in Christ curriculum by Mike Riches when appropriate, which focuses on spiritual identity, emotional healing, freedom from shame and fear, and growing in biblical understanding and personal healing through Christ-centered discipleship.
Amanda specializes in working with ADHD in children, teens, and adults, as well as anxiety, stress management, divorce and co-parenting dynamics, domestic abuse and trauma recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, postpartum and perinatal mental health, communication challenges, intimacy concerns, and parenting and family systems support.
As the author of Rooted & Wired: Understanding the ADHD Brain, Amanda brings both professional expertise and deep compassion to her work with neurodivergent individuals and families. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals.

She earned her Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Associate Degree in Human Services and Child & Family Welfare.
Amanda is clinically supervised by Maureen Peterson, MA, LMHC, CEDS-S, bringing additional depth of experience and mentorship to her therapeutic work and ongoing professional development.
