Life can bring moments of uncertainty, stress, disconnection, and change — but you do not have to navigate them alone. Therapy can offer a supportive space to reconnect with yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward healing with compassion and clarity.

Tamara Schreckengast is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) who works with adult individuals and couples seeking support for relationship concerns, anxiety, stress management, trauma recovery, identity exploration, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients cultivate deeper self-awareness, emotional balance, and meaningful connection in their lives.

Tamara provides affirming and inclusive care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered. Her approach is holistic and collaborative, integrating traditional evidence-based therapies with body-centered and mindfulness practices that support both emotional and physical well-being.

Her therapeutic approaches include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Emotion-Focused and Attachment-Based Therapy
  • Gottman Couples Therapy
  • Mindfulness and Meditation
  • Body-Mind/Somatic and Yoga-Based Therapy
  • Nature and Art Therapy

Tamara earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Northern Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Metro State College of Denver.

Tamara believes healing happens through connection, self-compassion, and feeling truly seen. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your relationship, she is committed to helping you navigate life’s challenges with care, authenticity, and encouragement.
